You want to measure the level of mercaptoethanol in the air for OSHA regulatory compliance. Start here http://www.skcinc.com/guides.asp . What method of monitoring will you use?

a. ) Any charcoal tube.

b.) Sorbent Tube 226-10

c.) Sorbent Tube 226-30-16

d.) b. or c., depending on details of the situation.

SKC sells a "passive diffusion" sampler for p-dichloro benzene? (The "p" stands for "para", the numbers 1,4- also mean "para."  So think how the substance might be indexed by name.  If you can't find the chemical, its CAS number is 106-46-7)

True / false.

Look at the page of the TLV book and the line on Dibutyl phosphate, CAS No. 107-66-4.  It looks like  the STEL is half the 8-hr TWA.    Regarding workplace exposures, which of these is allowable:

1.5 ppm for 8 hours

2.5 ppm for one hour

1.8 ppm for 8 hours

None of the above

https://www.skcinc.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=200000000_203000000_203100000_203100050  has diffusion tubes. Would this kind of tube be useful to check if a worker is being exposed over the STEL.

Yes,

No,

Most tubes will work with styrene-tetraethyl lead,

Tube are not legal for styrene-tetraethyl lead.

Go the NIOSH Pocket Guide and look up Hydrogen Sulfide. Look up IDLH. Here is an gas detection instrument that is worn on a person.  The instrument only measures one gas at a time, but logs data over time and gives an alarm if the measured gas is over a set amount - usually the workplace standard. http://www.indsci.com/products/single-gas-detectors/gasbadgepro/   Then consider, you have a plant that often has low levels of hydrogen sulfide in the work environment. If one of the operations go amok the level could reach 500 ppm quickly. How would you monitor for this?

Don't worry about it, H2S is easy to smell.

Either a Draeger tube or SKC passive tubes will work well

A Industrial Scientific GasBadge™ on each worker would work

Charcoal tubes are best.
